At Alexander School, we expect our parents to want to come to visit. Since 1963 we have had an open-door policy. Our staff is pleased to have you visit classes in session. Regular visiting days for parents of students, ages 6 - 12, in the elementary school are the third Tuesday of each month at 9:00am.Our students are "in process" because they are always moving ahead learning new skills and trying out new ideas. Whenever you visit, you will see and feel the realityof their love for learning. You will see teachers who are interested in what and how the children think.Our teachers are not "forcing students to regurgitate facts," however, there are sufficient regular spelling and math tests, etc., so that these automatic skills are practiced and evaluated.Most importantly, the unique Montessori curriculum of cultural subjects is presented by our teachers in such a way that the seeds of imagination are consistently sown for the students to cultivate!
