About
Drolma Kadampa Buddhist Center, Oakland Park
Drolma Kadampa Buddhist Center was founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in 1997 as a non-profit organization and member of the New Kadampa Tradition (International Kadampa Buddhist Union).
Drolma Center is dedicated to helping people in Southeast Florida find peace in their busy lives. We offer Buddha’s timeless teachings in a simple, practical manner that can help us solve our problems and find happiness within. The classes taught at the Center are suitable for all individuals whatever their level of interest, from those who seek simple relaxation to those who wish to find lasting inner peace and contentment through following the Buddhist path. Drolma Buddhist Center offers a full schedule of meditation classes, pujas (chanted prayers), retreats and day courses at the main Center in Fort Lauderdale, as well as branch classes throughout South Florida. Our main center is easy to get to and offers a beautiful quiet meditation room that can seat over 100.
